Goodbye ParcelForce, hello DPD!
If you have had a costume hire arrive from us recently, you might have noticed that it was delivered by DPD.
The delivery and return process is an important factor for our business and we want our customers to always have the best experience.
Although Parcel Force have been our delivery partner since the beginning, their decreasing levels of service has forced us to change.
After thorough evaluation of options, we have chosen DPD to be our delivery partner going forward.
Their innovation, and commitment to customer service and the environment fits very well with our ethos.
Not only are DPD deliveries CO2 neutral, they also have a rapidly increasing fleet of electric delivery vehicles which help bring them closer to their aim of emission free deliveries in cities.
When your costumes get shipped, you’ll receive enhanced tracking and a 1-hour delivery slot as well as giving you options for delivery to a neighbour, alternate address, pickup shop or even delivery on a different day.
This not only allows you to better plan your day, but adds up to save millions of wasted miles (and emissions) delivering parcels when people aren’t going to be in.
When it comes to returning your costumes, rather than dropping them to the Post Office, you’ll now deliver them to your local Parcel Shop (we include a list of your local ones with your return label).
These tend to be open longer hours than most Post Offices as well as at weekends – making the return process even easier for you.
We did some experiments as part of our evaluation process and discovered that for 97% of our customers over the last two years, they have at least one Parcel Shop within two miles of their address and most have at least 7 within 5 miles!
You can of course still get your boxes collected from you. Just follow the instructions on your booking.
We hope this new partnership enhances your experience as a customer and allows us to continue offering the high level of service you expect from us.

The most important measurement is the Girth.
If a dancer is between two sizes, always opt for the larger size.
Because we stock lots of different styles from lots of different manufacturers, we standardise our sizes to make it easier for you.
Girth
With them standing straight, measure from the top of one shoulder, down the fullest part of their chest, through their legs and back up to the same shoulder.
Bust
With their arms down at their sides, measure the fullest part of their chest.
Waist
Ask them to bend to one side and place the start of the measure at the natural indentation. Once they have straightened up, measure from this point around the waist.
Hips
With their feet together, measure around the fullest part of their hips and bum.
Inseam
With them barefooted, measure the inner leg from their crotch to the floor.
